Q: Are these capped for output? I only get about 70mbps despite having fibre optic WiFi at 4 times this speed?

I have the p9 which is the same unit as this but with the power line function. I also have a 600mbps virgin connection and get around 535 when connected to the main deco. Using Ethernet I get 635 (you get more than u pay for with virgin). On the satellites WiFi I get around 250mbps and 300-350 using Ethernet. There not the fastest units there are but those figures are very very usable with no issues watching 4K and kids gaming.

Yes, but you will need to turn off the wireless channels on your router.

Q: The tpo link deco m5 1 pack will this plug into netgear router as wifi is poor?

If you have a modem you need to plug the M5 into that, if you have a combined modem/router (Virgin Media, like mine) it needs to be put in modem mode. Effectively the M5 becomes the (wireless) router. If you have poor WiFi then get more than 1 so you get the mesh network that will improve your WiFi, I have the M4 as my main unit and 4 M3's dotted around the house and my WiFi is better than ever.

Its compatible with all broadband. Connect to power and WIFI , and that's it !...its not a disc.
