Perfect for neck issues
I've used my share of water pillows over the years and right from the start I was able to sleep perfect. I have neck issues and need my pillow on the firm side so I used 4.5 quarts of water and the full amount of stuffing. It was perfect! I'm so happy with my purchase

Wonderful
I’m in love with this pillow! No more neck pain! I had bought a different more expensive water pillow with memory foam covering a few months ago but returned it because even with no water, it was too thick. Was discouraged so didn’t get around to shopping for another one until I had severe neck pain that I would wake up with. Then I found this one with the polyfill about half the price of the other and ordered it. Adding 3 quarts of water gave me the perfect firmness. I love it! My silk pillowcase fits it perfectly.

Decent Idea, Poor Execution
My chiropractor recommended a MediFlow pillow, but I cheaped out and bought this one. The first one I got had a pinhole leak on the opposite end from the fill valve and leaked along the side seam. I first thought that maybe I had just spilled while filling the pillow, so I carefully dried it with the cool setting on a hairdryer and refilled it. As it was filling, I could see the puddle of water forming at the opposite end. I didn’t even get to try one night of sleep on that one because I had to send it back right away.I was sent a replacement, and had the first night ruined by my failure to tighten the fill valve enough. You really do have to crank it much harder than you think you do, and the leak really is like having a 5-year-old have an accident in your bed.Once I got that straightened out, the next challenge was trying to find the right amount of water to put in it. Like another reviewer said, it is just like a waterbed. If you remember those at all, you know that once you get to the edge, the bladder squishes down so much that it was pretty much worthless. That means if you sleep with your head on the bottom edge of this pillow, there will be no support under your neck at all and your head will be pushed forward. For me to comfortably sleep on my back, I had to put my head above the center of the pillow so that when the weight of my head pushed the water bladder around, the displacement naturally came under my neck to provide support there. Unfortunately, the amount of support needed for sleeping on your back is completely different from that needed when you sleep on your side. Since I tend to change positions a lot while sleeping, that meant that there wasn’t any real single level that the pillow could be filled to that would do the job for me - and you can’t fluff it. To switch to my side, I had to bunch of the pillow up above my shoulder so that my neck would still be supported properly. It is also heavy and more difficult to wrangle around in the middle of the night while half asleep (or in the morning while making the bed).I do feel like I had reduced stiffness in the morning for the first few days, but I began to have a suspicion that the pillow was leaking. Although my bed was never wet and I could not find a wet spot on the cover, I always felt like the pillow was a bit damp overall and couldn’t figure out whether or not I was being paranoid. My pajamas also felt damp and cool, but not enough to actually appear discolored. My head and neck felt progressively less supported, and there was not as much relief from stiffness in the morning. I finally took the cover off and found what you see in the picture: there was some type of leak that obviously spread through the bottom of the pillow and left that lovely yellow line that gave away the problem. As for the other parts of the pillow, I did find the cover to be soft and did not find that it slept warm, but it was winter when I received it so I can’t tell what would happen in the summer. There is a disadvantage for people with curly hair like mine in that it will leave your hair a hot mess in the morning. You would really need a satin cover to avoid that, which then takes away from the supposed advantage of the bamboo cover. I did not use the extra fill, so I cannot comment on that.As with anything filled with water, there is going to be sloshing regardless of how well you get the air out. Since I tried filling at several different levels, I became pretty adept at getting the air out. (Hint: leave the full cup on so you can listen for the air escaping.). It’s water, people. It sloshes. I’m sure that the noise is much less when you get the air out, but it’s never going to go away. Also as in anything with water, eventually it’s going to leak. If you don’t pay attention, there will be black mold. I can absolutely see this having happened with the pillow I received the second time around. Check your pillow weekly. In all, it seems like this might be a good pillow if you can manage to get one that doesn’t have a leak. Don’t expect miracles in that it will last for years, but it should definitely last longer than a week or so that mine did. Therefore, one star since both pillows I tried leaked. Perhaps a more pricey pillow will be better made.

Comfortable
The pillow has been great for the last 2 years however it now has a leak. Not sure how long other water pillows would last. I bought it to help with my neck pain and it has seemed to work pretty well.

In Love With This Pillow
1st let me say I am Not a first time water pillow buyer. I've own 2 M---flow pillows in the last 10 yrs. That being said when I first put water in it I thought this can't be right it's not as big as my M---flow pillow was, so I put the extra filling they give you... that was a mistake made it uncomfortable on the first night. I like a firm pillow so I'm right up there with the 5 liters of water. Took the extra filling out I put in not the water, used it the next night and I was ZZzzzzzz. As a matter of fact I woke the next morning at 5am when I should have been in the shower at that time. I'm usually at 3:30 am for coffee etc. Every night since then has been fantastic. I'm so glad I bought this pillow. I waited a few weeks to review as I wanted to make sure it was a true review. Personally I put my pillowcase over the pillowcase that came with it, I think it holds everything together much better, maybe why I'm sleeping better. I've had all the pillows, firm, memory, regular, on and on and on... this is the best one I've ever had. Maybe I should get another one just in case they go out of business at least I'd have a backup. I expect this pillow to last 5 yrs about the life span of a water pillow that I've found. I really love knowing that when I go to bed and take my kindle or iPad with me, I'm having to put it down within 10 mins cause the pillow is so comfy I just want to sleep, and I sleep through the night now. Thank you for making a great pillow. Don't hesitate to buy one....

A nice upgrade from my previous water pillow
This is my second water pillow. My first was a Chiroflow that lasted just shy of 5 years before it started leaking. I liked the Chiroflow but definitely saw some room for improvement. My initial impression of this Blissbury pillow is that it seems like a nice upgrade for $10 less than my old pillow (It's also $10-$20 less than the Mediflow). Here's what's improved over my previous pillow:1. Includes a soft quilted cover for free (Mediflow wants an extra $15 for those!)2. Includes extra loft for free. As in all water pillows, the loft sits on top of the water balloon for extra comfort.3. The loft is in a zippered compartment. This is huge for me because if the loft gets flattened I can reach in and fluff it. The loft on my Chiroflow died pretty fast and there wasn't anything I could do about it.4. The zippered loft compartment not only allows fluffing and adding the extra loft, but makes it easy to replace the loft completely if you wish. So, if two years in the loft is sad I can replace it with memory foam or anything else I want!If things go south, I'll update this review but right now I'm very happy with my new pillow and it's additional features.
